Meditation is best learned face to face with a expertly trained Teacher
Catherine Inglese is a Teacher of Vedic Meditation in the Saraswati order of the Shankaracharya tradition of India, and an Ayurvedic practitioner.
Her field of expertise is Consciousness. She was trained to teach Vedic Meditation in the holy city of Rishikesh by renowned Vedic Master Thom Knoles, Maharishi Vyasanand.
Qualifying as a Teacher in this tradition involved years of study with Maharishi and others, beginning with the Exploring the Veda course series, then trips to India to study the Upanishads, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, and Vedic mythos. Prerequisites also included completion of Mastering the Siddhis. Teacher training culminated with 108 days of study and meditation rounds high up in the Himalayas.
This intensive training program produces Master Teachers possessing a full range of knowledge on Vedic Meditation techniques as well as intellectual mastery of Vedanta, the art of living.
In 2013 Catherine returned to India on pilgrimage to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Allahabad. This is the largest spiritual gathering of human beings the world has ever known, happening only once every 144 years, with over 130 Million people in attendance. The Maha Kumbh Mela occurs on the sacred site where the Ganges, Saraswati, and Yamuna rivers converge. Here pilgrims gather to purify themselves and release many years (perhaps lifetimes) of old Karma.
Catherine is also now a student and devotee of Ayurveda, the ancient science of wellness, healing, and longevity.
Educated at universities in Los Angeles and London, Catherine brings a balanced understanding of Vedic knowledge and Western lifestyle to the practice and teaching of these techniques.
Catherine has spent the last six years teaching Vedic Meditation and Ayurveda in America, Indonesia, and India.
Founder of the Effortless Mantra VM & Ayurveda Center in Van Nuys, CA, Catherine is an Independent teacher of Vedic Meditation.
She currently lives and teaches in Los Angeles, California.
