This ancient knowledge is used around the world today as both preventative and restorative health care. For some it replaces western medicine. For others it is the perfect complement to it.

Ayurveda recognizes the seat of health is in the gut. Wellness and disease both stem from conditions, either favorable or unfavorable, in the GI track. Digestion is the mechanism by which the universal consciousness and the individual person connect and co-create. It is how our body is built and maintained. So it is here the journey into Ayurveda begins.

This course takes a comprehensive look at the 3 Doshas, known as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These are cosmic personalities, sets of characteristics, that exist throughout nature. The dosha ratio within us determines the metabolic style of our body. This course will teach you a new way of thinking about your body and metabolism. It will make clear why fad diets only work for a small percentage of people and will teach you how to optimize your unique constitution.

To do this we will explore the 6 Food Tastes, and healing qualities of foods, and how they interact with each of the doshas. Course Participants sample foods, teas, and various herbs, and be given take home materials including sacred recipes.

You do not have to be a meditator to take this class. It is open to anyone interested in improving their health and digestion.
