advance your practice & results exponentially
Advanced techniques are not just for advanced meditators. They are the techniques by which one becomes an advanced meditator.
Rounding is a process involving a sequence of yoga asanas (poses), pranayama (breathwork), meditation (VM), and a lie down (Savasana). This specific sequence was constructed by a Master yogi in Rishikesh, India for our tradition, designed to profoundly de-excite the body so a very very deep meditation experience is triggered, accelerating stress release from the mind and body.
Rounding is typically learned on Exploring the Veda, part one. It can also be taught as a workshop on its own. Students of this class should have at least six months of regular twice daily VM experience. Take home materials are provided.
If our daily meditation practice is like a broom gently sweeping out stresses, Rounding can be thought of like turning on the vacuum cleaner. For this reason rounding is most often taught in a residential retreat setting over a long weekend in a tranquil location (desert, mountains, or by the sea). Advanced Meditation Techniques
Many people never change their initial mantra and happily use it for decades with great experience. For others, the mantra may be outgrown. Anyone who has been practicing VM regularly (twice daily) for at least one year is eligible to receive an advanced meditation technique if desired. Upgrading your practice is like shifting gears on a bike. It allows one to move faster and more smoothly forward with less effort.
Advanced techniques are bestowed in the same way as your initial mantra, you will meet with Catherine privately, again bringing the same offerings of flowers, sweet fruits, and initiation fee.
